“You know when a song is done because it feels done, not when it makes sense on paper and you know when a lyric makes sense and works within a song. You just close your eyes and let the emotion take you. That’s what I’m looking for. I don’t care how fast you can play your drums or guitar. It’s the goosebumps you get when you hear real fucking raw emotion. If a song really touches you, then who gives a shit what it sounds like? It’s what it feels like.” - Dave Grohl
Hello, I'm Yasmin but you can call me Yas, 15, brazilian. I was born in Brazil but I'm german too (double nationality) because my mom is german. My life sucks everytime. Sometimes people don't give a shit for me. I love listen to rock. My favorite band is Foo Fighters. They saved my life and their music always help me when I'm feeling bad, their music is all I need and what I live for. I love playing the piano, guitar and flute. I try to sing too. I play piano on a orchestra. I love music. I love Europe. If you want to know me better ask me! I hope you like my blog :)
My Foo Story
Do you know when the music means everything to you? The thick bass strings, the heavy beats of the drums, the harmony of the musicians and their instruments. Music means a lot to me, it saved my life, specially because the music that I’m talking about is the Foo fighters music.
I remember that was a July’s cold night, I was sad and crying. Then it happened. I heard the first chords from Times Like These for the first time. I immediately stopped crying. That music just changed my feelings, so… simple. The pain that I was feeling, desapeared in that moment. I didn’t know what song it was, neither the band, so, I wrote a part of the music in Google (haha). “Search”, Google told me “Times Like These – Foo fighters”. This moment was the most important in my life, the day that I discovered the band that changed and saved my life.
The second song that I heard was “Best Of You”, it makes me cry every time that I listen to it, like what happened in the first time that I listened to this song.
So it came, my first CD, it made me completely fall in love with the songs and with the Foos. And everyday I love more and more.
You are a Foo Fighters fan? If you are, you can’t explain your love and your admiration with words. What makes me angry is when an idiot comes and asks me “How can you love them so much? It’s just a band.” And I think “I have to take control of my mind or I’ll kill this idiot.”
I don’t know, their music calms me. Makes me happy when I’m sad and calmer when I’m angry. I can’t explain. The other bands songs don’t make me feel like the Foo Fighters songs do.
But aren’t just the songs. But the members personality too. The Nate's judgments, Pat’s smile, Dave’s kiwis, for example. And I didn’t forget Chris and Taylor! Every member is like a puzzle’s piece, a special piece. The Foo Fighters couldn’t be the Foo Fighters if aren’t these special members, if were other members, the band would sound different, that’s because they are so incredible and special. When together, they sound perfect.
I own my life to them, I really thank them for everything, because they saved me. Thank you very much Foos ♥

Dave was born in January 14, 1969. He played drums for different bands, for example: Scream and Nirvana. He is the Foo Fighters lead singer/frontman. He is also the drummer and co-founder of the rock supergroup Them Crooked Vultures. He has performed session work (as a drummer) for a variety of musicians, including Garbage, Killing Joke, Nine Inch Nails, The Prodigy, Slash, Juliette Lewis, Tenacious D and Lemmy Kilmister.
Taylor was born in February 17, 1972 in Fort Worth, Texas. He is the drummer from Foo Fighters. Before joining the band in 1997, he was the touring drummer for Alanis Morissette. He was voted "Best Rock Drummer" in 2005 by the UK drumming magazine, Rhythm. In 2004, Hawkins formed his own side project, Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders, in which he plays drums and sings.
Shifty was born in May 6, 1971 in Santa Barbara, California. He is the lead guitarist of the Foo Fighters since 1999. Shiflett was the resident lead guitarist for the San Francisco Bay Area punk rock band No Use for a Name, when a friend announced that Guns N' Roses was auditioning for a guitarist. Shiflett asked his friend to instead get him an audition for the Foo Fighters, that after recording There Is Nothing Left to Lose as a trio held open auditions to hire another guitarist. In 2010 Shiflett created a new side project, Chris Shiflett & the Dead Peasants, releasing a self-titled album in July.
Nate was born in December 2, 1968. He plays bass for the Foo Fighters. He began his musical career in the punk band Diddly Squat, then played in the fairly popular punk bands Christ on a Crutch, Brotherhood (Seattle Straight edge), Galleons Lap. He was a member of Sunny Day Real Estate and Juno before joining the Foo Fighters in 1995 (after Sunny Day Real Estate had disbanded). In January 2000, Nate Mendel organized a sold-out concert in Los Angeles to benefit Alive & Well AIDS Alternatives, a group which denies that HIV is the cause of AIDS. Nate is known to use a pick almost exclusively, however on the "Long Road to Ruin" video he is seen finger-picking, as well as during "Marigold" on the Skin and Bones live release.
Pat was born in August 5, 1959. His parents forced him to take piano lessons at a young age, and a few years later, he began teaching himself to play guitar. He has been a guitarist in several well-known bands including the Germs and Nirvana. He is currently a guitarist for the Foo Fighters. Smear did not appear on a Foo Fighters album until 1997's The Colour and the Shape. Later that year, Smear quit the band. He rejoined the band in 2006 when the Foo Fighters announced they would play limited acoustic dates across North America.
Heey, this is my blog, it's dedicated to the foo Fighters and I will post photos/gifs about the Foos. I really LOVE this band. I hope you like it :)
